Description

Primo sale with dried red pepper from Altino (Abruzzo Region, Province of Chieti) is a fresh, pressed curd cheese. Altino Sweet Pepper is a Slow Food Presidium.

Features: primo sale with dried red pepper from Altino has a soft, elastic paste. Its taste is milky, buttery and slightly fruity. The shavings of red pepper are visible all through the Primo Sale but do not overpower its mild taste.

Serving suggestions: remove the primo sale with dried red pepper from Altino from the paper or plastic bag. Serve it at room temperature. Cut it into small cubes, and mix them with vegetables, cereals or pulses. If you grill it, the outside becomes crunchy while the inside remains soft. Keep it refrigerated in a plastic wrap.
